Just because I can't get over the Spanish moss and if it looks like it is out of 'The Notebook,' that's because it is. Romantic feel, eh, trying to redeem the dark hour of slavery. We learned that these trees are over 150 years old, having survived many hurricanes due to being planted so close: their underground roots and aboveground limbs are literally interconnected, giving them more support with heavy winds.
