mother's day hike

it was a wonderful day for a picnic and hike at Klondike Park in St. Charles County, the site of an old quarry. There is a beach which makes you feel you are in Florida and spring wildflowers were in bloom. Also, a steep hike to have a great view of the Missouri River, across from a place where Lewis and Clark once camped. The original river path (200 years ago) was against the far tree line.
